Weekend at the lake

We went to the lake on Thursday for 4 days. We relaxed at both grandparent's lakes. We went to a carnival, worked at the parade, and ate a lot of ice cream. This is Grandma Sugar, Zack, and Ella in a fire truck ride on Saturday.

BBQ League Last Wednesday!

Sam and Ella closed down the party at 10:00. I think they might be the next couple to start a Blog together.

"Mamma Mia....Here I Go Again."

So Trevor agreed to go to "Mamma Mia" with me on Friday night. He was one of 10 guys in the theater. He did laugh a few times, but did not sing along with me. He also did not clap at the end with the rest of us in the audience. However, he did say he enjoyed it. I give him credit for going with me, we had a good time. It was weird seeing Pierce Brosnan singing--not so James Bond. I think I'd like to go to it again with the girls so we can sing and dance.

So my sister Kari says I might have too much time on my hands in the summer--I don't think so. I'm just lazy and hate to clean and do my list of things that need to get done. So I was thinking about my childhood and a show I'd watch at daycare called "Today's Special." Anyone remember it? Trevor did and even knew the theme song. It was about a mannequin, Jeff, who came to life at night after the store closed from his magic hat. Jody--the night designer was his friend. There was a mouse, Muffy, and Sam, the night watchman, they were puppets. It was educational at the time. Now I find it weird and creepy. Check out the song on Utube, it might bring back a memory.

Summer Fun!

We have been busy with swimming and sports sampler. Ella has played soccer, kickball, and t-ball now. She loves playing with her friend Libby! Daddy has spent the last 4 days staining our deck. It looks great! He is just very sick of painting.
