Survived First Week Back!

I made it through my first week back from maternity leave. Monday I only forgot two of my home base girls names. I was never late once this week getting both kids to daycare each morning. The students were not very excited to have me back. They got a way with too much while I was gone. By Thursday I had two already suspended for Friday. All week I was not excited for a field trip my team was taking on Friday. But it was the best one day Courage retreat and it made feel great. I had one run and one good work out, and me knee has been paying for it all week. I am very far behind on my due process paper work. I got many meetings set up for May for in coming kids and out going kids for the Fall. The week was great but it made me realize I am meant to work and have summers off. I missed Ben terribly (and my shows), but was glad to get back to the adult conversation world. I just need more hours in the day to get my work done. Maybe this week I'll find more time for that. Under 30 days left and then three months off.

Last Day OFF!

Tomorrow is my last day of maternity leave, forever. I'm very sad. I am sad that I won't be spending one on one time with my baby boy anymore. I'm sad I can't watch Young and the Restless, The Doctors, Ellen, and The View, during the day. I will have to watch them at night when I'm up with Ben I guess. I did not get anything done on leave. Scrap booking, what is that? Cleaning, the house is dirty all the time. On time to places, never happens. Lose weight, not yet! Clean off counters, still piles on them. I do know I will get work done at school when I have a prep. I can register Ella for summer activities, do my paper work, and procrastinate on my work some more. I can have adult conversation during the day and count my points for weight watchers much better. Oh and see my students (sorry to say it is on the bottom of the list, teaching actually that is). Missing Ben is going to be tough, and no more naps. I know it's only until June 5th. I have not worked since February 9th, my time is up. Back to getting a paycheck and a reality check on Monday.

Ella is 4 Today!

Our Ella is 4 today. She was born 2005 at 3:30 am. She weighed 7 pound 8 ounces and 18 inches long (much smaller than her brother). She is still our "baby girl" and "princess." This is her still in a crib back in the summer of 2006! And then here she is at 4!
